Their fries are awesome too!!!

BTW they will not EVER put ketchup on their dog, no matter how much you beg. They will give you some packs of ketchup for the fries.

Other vote getters. But it was a clear blow out

That's not a dawg, that's a gastronomic nightmare!

What makes Chicago hot dogs so awesome is that weird "day glow" relish...man oh man, that's the stuff.....

Ain't nothin' better than a Chicago dog.

So good...

And so good for ya!

I'm surprised the Newark NJ area, "Italian" Hot Dog didn't make the list.

Is that a used baby diaper? :D:lol:

I wonder how it shows up on a google search. Probably not number one, hmmmm ;);):lol:

You know... I actually know the family casually, and my parents know them rather well. I should look into trying to grab the account.

I got through college on Al's italian beef sandwiches, Maxwell street Polishes, Edwardo's, Lou Malnati's and Homerun Inn pizza. Trust me, the Chicago style hot dog is practically a healthfood compared to some of the popular fare there.

What is an Italian dog?

It's a NJ phenomenon. Essentially you start with an oversized roll. You drop a hot dog in it along with lots of fried onions, peppers, and potatoes. The more pedestrian version of it uses french fries instead of potatoes and often come slathered by a large quantity of ketchup.

You must mean the Skyline Coney....

How can you say that?!?!?!

Cheese Coneys and Four-ways got me thru Engineering school. Especially after a late night in Newport KY. ;)

Cheers

A colleague (from Atlanta) scarfed down two Cheese Coneys and a 5-way.... then headed for CVG to catch his flight to Atlanta.

I'll spare the details, but just say that it wasn't particularly pleasant for either him or the folks seated right around him. :yikes:

It sounded really good until that last line

It's the beans in the 5-Way. That's why I limit it to 4-Way.

Cheers

The funny thing is they make these vegetarian hot dogs. I've never touch one except they're really good with my homemade sauerkraut and pickle relish. And of course mustard.
