Error on certain threads using Tapatalk

I occasionally get the same error on TaT although I’m about done with it since they don’t display whatever default imagae format for iphones is. More often than not I have to use webview to see an image and that’s just…crap.

weird, I never have to do that.
I also get the same error occasionally. I 'think' I open the thread from a browser on my pc, then close/reopen TT but don't quote me on that. usually the thread in questions just "goes away" and I eventually can get back into it.
Most here post a jpg or similar; TaT hates webp for some reason. Maybe that’s not the default apple format, but webp seemed to be an overnight explosion in image formats so I’m just assuming it was an iOS default change.
Indeed tapatalk gags on webp. We allow posters to use a variety of formats and all sane browsers handle it fine.
Tapatalk is a support nightmare, and while I've been limping along with horrendously buggy implementation since I've been responsible for site support, there's nothing I can do here, and frankly, I would recommend people be prepared for the day that we kick the plug out of the thing entirely.
