Error in FAA 8083

I feel like I keep finding errors in this book, but I might be wrong. Here's a chart I found in the book. Isn't the line supposed to follow the diagonal line in the area where you input the weight?

Yea, I think you have the right idea.

If it hits that first reference line where one of the diagonal lines meets it (as is shown in that photo) than yes, it would follow that diagonal line. If it hits the reference line between diagonals, it stays between them in proportion.

Those are the worst questions on the FAA written exams. They require accuracy but how can you when the picture is so small (or inaccurate)and your technically not supposed to write in the book to mark a proper path...I feel your pain.
