Bastardi (Accuweather) said yesterday that he thought Ernesto would intensify to a cat 1 hurricane and then track through Harrisburg, PA. The NWS/NHC tracks it with less intensity and further west.
Today in his Big Dog video report, Joe said he thinks the storm will track even further east, possibly over the Chesapeake and then Delaware Bay, and maybe intensify before making landfall to a cat 2.
If he's right, the east coast may be in for some pretty nasty weather this weekend. Other Accuweather forecasters are calling for something between what the NWS is saying and what Bastardi is saying.
It's gonna be interesting to see who's right!
