Depends on the engine model and what parts you need and where use. If you want one to just to practice on, ask for a non-core acceptable engine as there is usually no value in those engine cores or their parts. However, if you want an engine for parts and practice you'll probably pay for at least the core and possibly more depending on what condition the engine is in.
