Amazing, I spent this much in parts and machine work alone overhauling a Lycosaurus myself.....for a hell of a lot less bang for the buck! Wish they were lighter!

426ci output: 600 hp at 6,000 rpm, 580 lb-ft at 4,800 rpm

448ci output: 640 hp at 6,000 rpm, 600 lb-ft at 4,600 rpm

Out-the-door price: $18,500 (426ci), $19,800.00 (448ci)

Warranty: 3yr/36,000 miles

Yeah, I'm surprised car engines haven't migrated over more to at least the experimental market...

But car engines also don't run at 75-100% power sustained across a very wide temp range

I wonder if you could get 36k miles out of those engines mentioned running them at 75% power most of their lives

By the time you add a gearbox it stops making sense.

Don't some of the Rotax need a gearbox? I think the Tecnam twins do
