Endeavour's last flight

It made more sense to park one on an aircraft carrier in the Hudson river. Hahaha.

(Ok, not a real Shuttle, but still... )

Yeah I flew over it last week and couldn't even enjoy seeing it, because of that stupid looking canopy they got it in:mad2:

It's hidden! Fortunately I got a nice tour of it at JFK before they damaged it!

I'm looking forward to seeing it on the ground during the move from LAX to the California Science Center; will be bringing my boys too, of course.

Southern California was the birthplace of the shuttles, so it is more than fitting that Endeavor is retired here. The shuttle will be huge draw to the Science Center. This is right next to the LA Coliseum and USC.

Politics, but in fairness Houston is not a big travel destination for tourists

I may be out of line, but I could give a rat's a** about tourists, I see it as honoring those who made the program work, and those Houston based astronauts who gave their all in the quest to advance man's quest for knowledge.

Houston got some cool stuff too.......mainly the space craft that actually did something historic
