I have some coins that are not performing any work. I would like to deposit them in the bank where they can at least begin to earn some interest with their fellow brethren.

Instead of taking them to en masse the bank (all US coins) I need to set aside the "special ones".

My definition of these special ones are those coins that are worth more than their face value, which can be because of the year stamped on them and/ or the metal content with the current precious metal exchange rates.

This post is about finding an efficient method to:
1- Identify the special coins
2- Where to claim the increased value that any special coins would have

The non-specials would simply go to the Credit Union's coin sorter to be counted and deposited.

Take a look at coinflation.com.
Then go to kitco.com and pull up the historic silver price graphs.
Then keep those coins somewhere safe! They are working much harder than anything that you could do with the bank.:wink2: h
