Emergency landing in Auburn WA when second engine lost

From another post I read the tail number is/was N741TJ. A PA-30.

Looking at both props, they don't seem to have any damage so looks like both engines were not turning (or they were shut down right before the crash landing)

Twin engine and they couldn't make it to an airport for a normal landing? It will be interesting to hear what happened.
Usually, both engines on a twin going out points to a fuel contamination or exhaustion issue.

This flight well within the aircraft's range, maybe a fuel management issue? I have no idea how these are set up.
All of them had at least two tanks per wing, many also had tip tanks, and there are plenty of mods available for even more tanks.

Normally, the selector has OFF, MAIN, AUX, and CROSSFEED positions. Tip tanks have a solenoid that opens up a line for the tips to drain into the auxes.

It's not a complicated system, but like anything else you have to know how it works and use it properly.
