Emergency at KSAN yesterday

So there I was, flying into KSAN last night. After Dana Point, around 6pm local, ATC said to prepare for an alternate airport as there was an emergency at KSAN and the runway was not available. After about 10 mins, they gave me vectors for the approach into KSAN.

I haven’t gone through all the tower transmissions.. anyone know off the top of their head what happened?

Didn't notice anything odd, but I did hear a police helicopter earlier that was working a call in the final.
