Hi all:
We just came back from the Sunday version of the show. What a great event. You park your vehicle on the beach and watch the show. It is free and the show is fabulous.
This year the Thunderbirds wer the featured military flyers. But there were plenty of others kept the eyes gazing skyward.
We highly recommend this event to anyone traveling to Dayotna in October.

We are looking to find air shows near the North border of Texas if anyone can recommend any.

Thank you.

The show was truly astounding. You could see much of it from miles around.

I went to the gym Thursday after work and there were a couple of guys wearing Thunderbird t-shirts working out there. They were like celebrities with everyone congratulating them and asking questions. Every answer they gave was punctuated with "sir" or "maam". They looked like olympic athletes. They were crew, not pilots, but one of them said he owned a Cessna 172. I have probably seen a dozen air shows, including others by the T-birds and the Blue Angels but this show was the most amazing of all. They had the Canadian team down here too. I think they were called the "snow bunnies" or something like that. Lots of bi-wing and other acrobats.

I sure hope they do that again. I would love to see it draw more people from around the region.

We could not agree more. We are from here, but now live in Texas. When we were her in May, my fatherinlaw told me that ER was being it back. We have planned all Sumer for this weekend, and it did not disappoint,

Th Canadian team was very sharp too.

I enjoyed the tri plane and biplane dog fight reenactment too.

I was at the last one, in 2010, and saw the Snowbirds then. I was more impressed with their show than any of the other teams I've seen, when you consider the lack of power they have. Wish I could have gone this year, but with my constant travel for work, it wasn't going to happen.

The SNOWBIRDS. That's it. I wasn't trying to be funny or insulting with the "snow bunnies" comment. I just had a memory lapse.

I was there both days and it was truly amazing. Even with the winds being gusty, the show went on. While I loved it all, the Snowbirds where my favorite performance. The F/A-18's were grounded due to mechanical issues, so they didn't get to fly on Sunday. All in all, I was very impressed and I hear it is already signed up for 2014.

Snowbirds are VERY smooth, and last time I saw them there were more of them. They still flying eight?

Out of town Saturday and working Sunday. The only thing I was able to see was some of the practicing leading up to the show.
