Inside the PM/DM/Conversation field there is a way to include a photo via URL. Is there another way to either embed or attach a photo?

I use links from Postimage for PMs.

I tried copy and paste and it looked like it worked, then I sent it and they didn't go through. I do have an online photo album, somewhere. It looks like that's my only other option.
Your observation is correct... one cannot attach a file directly into a PM.
One can include a link to a file stored and available elsewhere.

I was able to get links to photos from a Google photo album, it worked just fine.
