Many good posts have been written, on this forum and others, about the source of electrical noise. I know that grounding problems and other issues with bad connections can be one source. My IO-470 is turning a Delco alternator and I am thinking of upgrading to a PlanePower or one of the other newer units. But even the newest units produce dirty DC. So is there any ultimate solution to filter the noise generated by the un-clean DC power coming out of an alternator? Is there a super high-tech filter box that cures the problem once and for all? Should certain wires be wrapped in some type of shielding conduit? Certainly there are variables with every airplane, but what is the best practice that could be applied to any alternator based system? Thanks in advance!
