Electric Planes - coming to a harbour near you

As a day 1 Tesla Model 3 reservation holder who still hasn't bought one I'm probably a bit jaded by the hype. Look forward to seeing it but they are probably where electric cars were in the early 2000s. Which means the first marketable ones will be hugely expensive and we won't see a Model 3 type mass market one for another 15-20 years which in the airplane world would be 300-400k atleast. Add another 10+ years for me to find a used version :) On the plus side that gives me plenty of time to get my ppl.
