I'm having a medical procedure done next week (vasectomy). I'm not looking forward to the procedure at all for completely mental reasons rather than actual physical concerns.
I'm not alone, it seems, and they give you a prescription for a valium to take pre-op to calm the nerves. I'm figuring on a couple glasses of wine instead or some good whiskey, as I'm not someone who typically takes any drugs, even Tylenol.
I'm curious as to experiences others have had as I decide whether to bother. Or I could just man up and grow a pair (pun intended) and not bother with anything.
