Hi! I am very new here on this forum. I think there are many experienced pilots or FI-s are here to give me some advise please.
I ve read my PPL book completely and some others as well which I have on my ipad.
But I ve found way too much apps and homepages to help beginners... do you recommend me some? (Some i ve downloaded is total bulls**t... )
With tests, or pictures, maybe something interactive. I prefer apps with free trial or something really good and useful and I like homepages / blogs about learning flying and theory...
Many thanks
Carla

If you are serious about getting your PPL I would get a VFR sectional and plotter from a local airport and get the King school course. After completion of the course you would then be endorsed to take the Written Exam. You should then in turn be better prepared for the flight lessons and what’s going on around you.

Just something I’d like to point out and share a story. When I was training for my PPL, one day, there was a woman who popped into the flight school with something like 135 hours dual and no solo time. Something was not right and the last flight school ended up turning her away. As I understand after 3 hours of flight instruction that day with one of our CFI’s she had a very lengthy talk with the flight school owner and left. I was told she couldn’t keep a heading or altitude. She depended on the CFI to do everything. She was a complete passenger. The flight school didn’t want to burn her money as it was evident the last flight school took her for a ride and she didn’t even make any effort in those 135 something hours. The point is to go into this with goals, determination, will power, and a good attitude; not just money. (And it will cost a good chunk of money)

Also, It doesn’t have to be King. You can use Sporty’s or whatever appeals to you more. Maybe Mzeroa? I’ve just had a good experience with King schools and generally using a video course in whole.

I read the AIM and also the Airplane Flying Handbook. Both can be downloaded from the FAA website in PDF for free and contain what you need to know. I also suggest purchasing a VFR sectional and studying the legend. When you get close to taking your written exam a subscription to ASA's prepware or a similar program may be helpful.

How many hours/ lessons have you had so far?

I ve read my PPL book completely and some others as well which I have on my ipad.
What are the titles of the books you have already read? I have some suggestions but don't want to repeat the ones you have already absorbed.

I ve seen a homepage included many flying apps comparing them together also for beginners.... wait i need to search the page :)

Your instructor should be recommending material for you, such as mscard88's list. Here are a few free online courses if you like a more interactive interface as an intro before you start diving into the books,
you just have to create a free AOPA account to take these:

https://www.aopa.org/lms/courses/aerodynamics

https://www.aopa.org/training-and-safety/online-learning/online-courses/engine-and-propeller

https://www.aopa.org/training-and-safety/online-learning/online-courses/pneumatic-systems

this one is a good basic overview, its for spouses or passengers to get oriented in case of emergency:
https://www.aopa.org/training-and-safety/online-learning/online-courses/pinch-hitter

Get them while they last, they're threatening to retire these due to required adobe flash

Get the AIM First,
Apps - Private pilot test prep, Student Pilot Guide in FAA library, Pilots Handbook, Flying
Websites - https://www.faa-ground-school.com/ is a great source I personally used. And of course there is YouTube, tons of tutorial videos there.

I did the Gleim online ground school, with which I was totally happy with. I bought their big package that came with books, plotter, e6b, audio files, a flight bag, a baseball cap and the online access. (back then I actually compared about 4-5 different online ground school packages that offered all these goodies and figured Gleim offered the most items for the money - but this was back in '16).

Apps that I purchased for my smartphone, which I highly recommend is two of Boldmethod's apps: VFR Charts and Airspace. It's an interactive way to learn and I got airspace and wx minimums down to such a level that my CFI and DPE got pleasantly surprised that no matter where they pointed on the sectional, I could cite the various airspace/wx mins and other requirements. (Boldmethod has free trial)

Prior to the written test, I used King's free online test practice.

Good luck!

Flight school where I hang sells those Gleim PP kits, same goodies and books. About $153 here w/tax.

now Im gonna be really well prepaired.... thank you so much! :D

Everyone else has given you great recommendations for material. My only recommendation is not to be overwhelmed at the amount info you need to digest. Just plug away at it and plan on going through it a couple times. I still read through those things and it really helps when in the cockpit, but it does take some time to go through, don't get discouraged.

This is very good, comply with the FAA and EASA requrements asthe books mentioned aboce, with pictures and drawings to easy understand the basic theory: http://www.flygo-aviation.com/f/ppl-exam-and-study/
Also for more practice, on this homepage you can generate your quiz: http://www.exams4pilots.org/

...out of theory, experienced pilots have said to use xplane, as a simulator app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/x-plane-10-flight-simulator/id566661426?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo=8 I was playing with the oldstylish flight simulator, but im just giving this a chance :D

This is the flight training magazine online, and for free: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/aopa-mags/id478058436?mt=8

When you go further you can practice here like the others have said but there is no basic / only question bank... but a tons of questions and very very dry : https://www.aviationexam.com/

I have found paper books as well:

I also trained with Flygo PPL tests. It was fun.
