Easy way to detect oil leaks

Maybe some of you know already this... but I will share for those that may not...

Our aviation engine oil has a tendency to fluoresce quite a bit under UV light. Much more so than common automotive oil will. If you have one of those UV pens lights for use with your car's AC leak detection, it can also be used to locate oil leaks in your plane.

In this pic you can see some Phillips aviation oil sans the UV light.

For an even clearer view, shut off the hangar lights and this is what shows up.

I fly an old continental my engine would look like a crime scene at an hourly motel! :)

On my Turbo Arrow, detecting an oil leak was akin to detecting an atomic bomb test on a Pacific atoll.
