I just renewed my EAA membership. They've gotten so cheap that they're only going to give you a membership card every 5 years. You'll get a sticker in between. I wonder is the sticker will come postage due?

That does not bother me at all. At least I know they are trying to be frugal with our dues and use them for more important things like STC'ing avionics for certified airplanes. Plus the EAA dues are just a fraction of what AOPA charges. I'm a member of both and it seems to me that I really get more benefits from EAA than AOPA.

Don't care. As long as when they look up my membership number in the computer for things, it's valid. I've never carried the plastic.

Does EAA have any term-life deals like AOPA?
Sure do. Don't remember the exact $ but it was somewhere around 1AMU. Check the membership website or call them.

Same here. Whether on the phone with HQ or in the ticket purchase queue at Oshkosh, all I've ever provided has been name and zip code. They can find you with that info. I'm not interested in carrying another card.

And their forums are much more polite.

They probably ran out of money from sending out ten full-color letters to everyone, harassing them to renew their memberships.

I throw my EAA and AOPA cards in the trash. I have zero use for them.
