EAA trimotor.

Had a ride on the EAA trimotor yesterday. The old bird was loud,burns about 1 gallon a minute. My liberty has better performance. Loved the large widows in the cabin.

That's it? Less than I thought, actually. Two 450hp motors and one 550hp motor to feed.

Rough guess. 1450 HP x 0.5 lb/bhp/hr = 725 lb/hr at full power. So they can make that 1 gal/min at about 50% power.

This was one of the trimotors with the smaller engines.
