EAA RideShare Experience

Does anyone have experience (good or bad) using EAA's Rideshare tool to get to Oshkosh?

I recently moved to Jacksonville and am looking for some ways to try to hitch a ride up to Osh21. I saw the rideshare tool on EAA's website, but have never met anyone who has used it.

I took a guy once. It was OK. Not in a big hurry to do it again.

I took a guy too, twice out of Timmerman field near MKE. He was an aviation buff, wanting to fly the Fisk arrival. The 1st year we had to go to Fondy, OSH full. The 2nd year we made it into OSH.

I felt the experience was to valuable to leave the seat empty, my usual partner was away for work.

This Summer I may pick up a female relative who wants to fly in. It’s a little out of the was, KSAW, but what the hay, extra flying.

It may be low odds looking for a ride from FL, worth a try.
