Thanks for the heads up, I actually just joined EAA this year.
"Jack Pelton, recently retired Chairman, president and CEO of Cessna Aircraft, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of EAA. In his role as EAA Chair, Pelton will guide the organization through the leadership transition."

Why? Hightower was doing the right things as far as I'm concerned. EAA is about to be hijacked by the VAA crowd, I'm afraid, and they will do everything in their power to first push out everyone who doesn't own an experimental. Then, they'll push out everyone who doesn't own an RV.

Hightowers job expired the night of the "Gathering of the Eagles" at OSH this year...
If you were there , you saw it first hand.

First.... I live in the real world too.. And I work 7 days a week, and having been doing that for 30 + years to pay for my aviation addiction, so be nice..:wink2:...
Give me a few hours to finish this bid I am working on and then I will post a VERY detailed account of my perspective of the EAA.. I will say right up front I am a Lifetime member of the EAA, so I have already demonstrated my commitment of the EAA..

Fair enough. I was just saying that while it seems easy to get up there for many people, it isn't for all of us. While I get vacation time from my job, it really isn't up to me as to when I can take it. I think I've been rejected as much as I've had it approved.
