EAA & Aero News Fights Back Against Frivolous Lawsuit

The push back has begun....

"The NTSB's probable cause report states that the accident was likely caused by "a total loss of engine power due to fuel starvation because of a blocked fuel line that resulted from the pilot’s improper maintenance practices and the pilot’s subsequent failure to maintain adequate airspeed while attempting a forced landing, which led to the airplane exceeding its critical angle-of-attack and experiencing an aerodynamic stall."

Wouldn't it have been better for Van's case if EAA said experimental means experimental? Instead of suggesting there is 'proper' R&D? Now we get to argue just how much R&D is proper and responsible for experimental aircraft, and did they meet our new made up standard.
