Don't worry we're safe

 It's for terrorists, not jet ski pilots. The highly sophisticated control software can tell the difference.......yeah THAT must be it!!!! :goofy:

Honestly, you're not being fair. TSA and DHS are far too busy funding the molestation of children and old folks to worry about runway incursions, or actual security risks.

No worries, the government will soon take over health care also. ;)

This is what happens when bureaucrats are given a blank check with the attitude of " let no crisis go by without government reaction"

You have to wonder how motion detector equipment can be used in an area that is full of birds and probably the occasional stray dog. I'll bet they kept dialing the sensitivity back until they quit getting false alarms.

Makes you wonder how many guards are now posted all along the shoreline while they figure out what the hell they're going to do.

This guy's life will become a short-term hell while the powerful people that have been embarrassed make him pay for their incompetence. It will probably cost him a lot of money to defend himself.

Some of the comments at the bottom of the linked page are dead on.

Can anyone name a private enterprise that spent anywhere CLOSE TO $100 million on perimeter security....and it didn't work? Didn't think so. I'm sick to death of all these stories about how the gov't just can't seem to apply technology the way the rest of us do.
This one is exactly what I think every time some tinfoil hat person claims that the NSA is peeking at them from a satellite or black helicopter or UAV or whatever the current cool/scary technology happens to be.

I work with some of this technology. We're really not as good at this as the conspiracy theorists would like us to be.
