Don't gamble on fuel in Vegas

A single-engine plane crashed Friday evening south of the Las Vegas Strip and struck three cars on the road, although no one was seriously injured, authorities said.

The four-seat Piper PA-28 was approaching McCarran International Airport when it ran out of fuel, said Scott Allison, a Clark County Fire Department spokesman.

Good grief.. If he was south of Mandalay Bay, he was less than 1 mile from LAS. Probably went right over the top of North Las Vegas (and fuel) to get that far.
