The reporter was going to send me a copy of the article, but I haven't received it yet. Is it perchance available online? I don't see it on their site.

It was online from the Friday after the flyin until the next friday I believe.

Reporters always say they will do that. In my experience, they never have, you have to go looking for it.

The other thing they won't do is call you back when you ask them out on a date. Although I might be doing something wrong, since Jesse had better results than me on that.

Indeed....

she was probably wondering what sort of sick parents would name their daughter Ted.

I've often wondered the same thing.

Interestingly, my mom had a lot more female names picked out for me than male names before she found out what I was going to be, as she was hoping for a daughter. Now she complains about the long hair, even though all the girls are jealous of it. My ex's mom used to come up behind me when I was sitting in a chair at their house, start stroking my hair, and say "Oh Ted, you have such nice hair." At that point, her (balding) father would start grumbling and walk off into another room. Go figure.

You can't make this stuff up, truth is weirder than fiction.

Ted, you and I have something in common, as I never went out on a date with a Journalist. However, it was quite intentional on my part; even at my most hard up I was never willing to sink that low in the gene pool.

Well, Michael, I am known for making extremely poor choices in terms of who I date (or attempt to). ;)

Wow. How can I get a copy? :D

Was her name, "Robinson," by any chance?

Was the ex named, "Elaine"?

Maria and Jesse, actually (yes, Jesse was female - for some reason in that family the only member with a gender-appropriate name was the mother).

I'll also admit to whatever reference you're making completely going over my head. :)

"The Graduate"

I'd be even more clueless then. I haven't even turned on my TV in about three months, and was never one for video games. Movies I may have watched at some point in the past.

Credit where credit's due. The reporter, Nancy Besonen, did send me the paper in which the article appeared, and it arrived today. My favorite quote fragment had to be:
Kent "My name is a complete sentence" Shook of Madison, WI [was] among pilots who participated and welcomed riders aboard.
