That's what it is. According the article I read, it was caught in a net. Also I learned the Mekong River is one of the deepest rivers in the world. I would hope these catfish live in the deep part cuz I doubt I would survive a close encounter in shallow water! :hairraise:

Coming nose to nose with that in a lake or river...That can only come from one place, a horror movie. I could walk, umm, run, on water.

Thanks for the links. We catch some small ones (5-7lbs) here on the Eastern Shore.

That beast of a fish from the Mekong must be close to a thousand pounds. Yikes!
