He says that chit instead of congratulating you on starting your business, helping others, etc., and giving him the business of your BFR.
There are some people that just need to make themselves feel better by being dix.
He sounds like one of those.
Personally, I'd be congratulating you. Although I will admit I'd ask for a 10% 'you just passed your BFR' discount on a Colorado raft ride

Agree about talking to the FSDO and if needed, enjoy the commercial training.
Either way, find another CFI.
