Did any of you know Henning Ludwig Heinemann?

I only recall meeting him once in passing long ago. I've read his postings on this and other pilots' and aviation boards over many years, including a few direct exchanges. When news circulated of his death, I described him as

He led the kind of life (or at least convincingly told the kind of tales) that could easily have inspired [the 'Most Interesting Man in the World'].

Which I kind of how I pictured him. I'm very sorry for your loss.
