Snagged this image on my iPad just after midnight.

Two things caught my attention: 1) the size of the system, and 2) that even at that size, you can see some curving or rotation of the included storm cells.

That must have been a fun night for The Co. and Chip from Checkflight.

I wasn't as bad as it looked like it was going to be, at least not here. I checked the radar last night right before I went to bed and commented "holy **** it's going to break loose tonight". It rained, but not as heavily as I thought it would.

We already took the rain gage down for the season so I don't know exactly how much we got, all I know is that the little creek right in front of the house stayed well within it's banks and it usually comes out at about the 3" point when the ground's already saturated like it was last night.

It was loud and noisy and wet here in Fort Worth last night. Trailing edge of that same system. We had one bolt of lightning hit VERY close to the house. FLASH-immediate BANNNNNNG!

No, but Arkansas did.

Are you saying that I should be getting a paddle wet on the Buffalo today? Or the Mulberry? Or the Little Missouri? or? or?

Damn I missed it!?!?!
