I have a customer with very little computer/networking knowledge. They payed some on to setup their network and pay for more service call.
I installed a computer controlled machine at their plant. They need to access the map drives on the network. They do not want the employees to use the internet. Is there an easy way for to just disable just the internet on the machine/computer?
It would be nice if it is something I can have them turn it back on. Occasionally they will need it enable to download new upgrades for the machine,

Assign it a static IP on the LAN and block it at the router. Some routers allow you to set it so a LAN static IP can access only specific sites on the internet and block everything else.... if you've got one of those, allow access to the upgrade site only and block everything else.
