if you are putting along under 3000msl where these TFR's are you have problems other than violating the TFR. . . and staying on the ground is just silly. Read them, know where they are and move on.

The first one is the 30 mile 18 thousand footer.

No different than anywhere else - it is fairly easy to operate in the outer ring . . . given the airspace you need to be chatting with ATC anyway. I'm just not see a reason to not fly if you need or want to fly- except for the 10nm ring.

...which renders Addison dead.

I keeps saying, move to DTO... FAA's version of Otisburg whenever they throw the TFR blanket over the DFW Bravo.

We even got our own cutout of the TFR this round :D

Since George W.. rotated out of office, not a problem for me; and this time around, my plane is enmeshed in Annual anyway, so no big deal.

They don't start until 1500 local from what I read. Planning on a local morning flight.

Best,

Dave

Lucky Devils!!

Yeah... however, I'm betting the over that one of US Aviation Academy's students scores a bust. They are good folk, but sometimes a bit out of their element. It can be crazy enough around this field on a normal day with them. But toss in this TFR?

The TFR cutout is about the size of our Class D footprint. It's nearly a given that one of them is gonna turn east toward TKI, depart VFR, and be under the TFR veil before they cross Loop 288.

What kind of problems would that be? Cause, I putt along all the time under 3k msl where these TFRs(will be).

Nice of you to come in a shyte on my thread trying to help the flying public be aware.

If you don't like my suggestion to remain on the ground, please tell us why staying on the ground would be -- silly? I think it's a guarantee of no bust, but please enlighten us.

FWIW, just talked to FSS briefer re TFRs. He said BO will leave for Waco (West) on Thursday at 1315 lcl and airspace will open up once he leaves. Hope he's right as I've been planning a trip for several weeks and don't want to move the plane unless it's necessary.

Thanks Wayne. More new info is always better. I've got a guy coming to my hanger tomorrow and I've asked him to come by ground, just in case.
