There are two FBO's in Destin, owned by the same guy, I've used what is now Destin Jet South for 25 years, never even been in the newer Destin Jet North until tonight. It seems as of October 1, the South location is operating 7AM-5PM! So, I had to go to the north FBO, follow a line guy in a golf cart down to my plane, tipped him to park my truck, then realized they didn't fill my fuel order that I left on Friday! :mad2: So that took another 20 minutes! It's really a bit of a fluster cluck after 5 PM! Just a heads up!
But we did have a great weekend! :D:D

Must be the Mayor's brother...:rolleyes::rolleyes::redface:

Ps....

Is it raining there???:dunno:

It's Florida. Everyone goes to bed at 5pm after they've eaten their seniors' early bird dinner special at Applebee's or Olive Garden. ;)

It's really crazy, I understand we are coming into winter and business will be slower, but October is a pretty big month for fishing and vacations. The new FBO is nice, I just don't like being forced to go there. :rolleyes:
It rained a little, but nothing like we got at home in Atlanta! Somehow I managed to fly an approach on both ends of the trip and have a 20 knot headwind going down on Friday and 40 knots on the nose coming home last night!! :mad2: Still beats driving! :D

In comparison to july, October is snooze town though so Odom staff accordingly.

Destin got 14 inches of rain. My boss didn't pull the drain on his little crown liner he keeps on a lift and it took enough water to break the lift and leave it sitting on the bottom of the harbor.

Now that is a very expensive rain gauge...:eek::redface:

By 5pm everyone in Florida has already made the turn...if they didn't forget...

Wow! We spent the weekend in Panama City, Fri -Sun, never had any real rain. Lots of low clouds, 700-1200 agl, some light drizzle, but no rain.
