Getting adjusted to the summer temps out here in the desert. Saw the temp at home base reach 47 deg C yesterday afternoon. Yikes! :yikes:

Could be. All of the jets I have flown can't be operated above 50*C for takeoff.
 
50+C is off the charts because it is too difficult to get the large number of required demonstrated performance measurements during type certification flight tests. The same is true of the other end of the spectrum. I think Boeing gets theirs in the American southwest and I believe Airbus collects their extreme heat data somewhere in North Africa. Alaska is the American deep freezer but I forget where Airbus does theirs.
