I know there is a database where we can look up pilot info IF THE PILOT HAS BEEN ACTUALLY ISSUED A MEDICAL

but what about the database that shows the FAA that we have been denied a medical? is that only accessible by AMEs

The FAA isn't a covered entity under HIPAA. HIPAA only covers entities that use electronic transmission of information for medical billing.

The FAA shouldn't even be telling the public who HAS a medical (or basic med). It is, in fact, ILLEGAL for them to do so under the privacy act and not within the scope of their exemption.
