Delta Airlines' Refinery

Re: Delta Airline's Refinery

Seems to me that you either don't know what you're talking about (most likely), or are missing a huge opportunity to use your knowledge to become one of those big cheese fat cats that you like to lampoon.

Be careful challenging Henning like that. He might just take you up on it and become one of those big cheeses. THEN where will you/we be?

I've got it down to all I need is a million dollars to start a fleet of ride and water selling NYC cabs. I've got a commitment for the cab medalions and all the car manufacturers are putting out vehicles in every market they can get H2. With a million dollars I can build a H2 production facility on Manhattan powered by the low cost steam system as well as the strong river/tidal currents. I can't get a million dollars even from people who espouse green energy. At the same time I can use the waste energy there to put into algae oil production for dense fuel that can be returned for H2 production as well if one desires. It will open an entire new industrial revolution and expansion of manufacturing, inventions and improvement. As I've said before, I'll even run it like a public utility to displace income tax with net earnings while competing for the people's energy business.

I'm not missing any opportunity, you can't miss what isn't presented. All I can do is shop my ideas, I cannot make anyone buy them.

Yes, and look where we stand, in the same filth unable to learn enought to raise ourselves up. We live in a permanent and geometrically expanding world of hate and violence where everybody has to pack a gun 'just in case'. You can roll with it or you can refuse, but just remember, you get the world you make.

Welcome to mankind. What a better world, build a better human.

Until we humans stop running the planet, this is just how it's going to be.

You gotta remember, for the work done, I.e. ride given that would have previously consumed a gallon of gas, you will have consumed a kilogram of hydrogen. In the exchange process the other 89% of the mass of water that the atmosphere carried to produce 9 liters of water at an average retail value of $34.83 at $1.29 per .333 liter.

Sounds like it's time for a Kickstarter (or the like) project fundraiser!

Heck, the Oatmeal just raised $1M for a G-D Tesla museum.

Only because you and too many others believe it, but I agree, we are due for extinction, too stupid to live. A full third practicing what they call Christianity having missed the entire point of Christs words being hung up on irrelevant post creationism dogma. It's pathetic to watch, it really is.

What's pathetic, is to think that a problem we have had for 30,000 years should be solvable by our generation. People have been smart, and civilized for thousands of years.

However we are animals, and animals with feelings, emotions, and desires. If not for the drive that comes from who and what we are, we would not be typing on a computer, or flying planes.

If not for all our faults, we would be nothing special at all. Just another animal.

I love the human race, and what it has accomplished.

Of course it is, it has been solvable by every generation, we just choose not to do it because it is easier not to. Don't blame inevitability, blame yourself.

In my opinion, the fix is worse then the problem. How do you fix it? Remove the desire to be more then the last generation? Remove the quest for power?

When you start changing mankind to remove what makes of bad, you remove all the characteristics that have caused us to advance. War breeds inovation. Greed drives effort. Effort creates a more advanced world.

I don't blame anyone. I wouldn't change a single thing about what we are.

Add the desire to bring others up with you rather than climb over them, that is how mankind advances, it is also against how mankind thinks.

I disagree. There are lots of mentors out there in the world. I've been one formally in two mentor programs in two different large companies. I've been one unformally in aviation. I see many others out there who are mentors and bring people along. It has happened to me with several bosses.

Yes, there are lots of back stabbers out there too. Such is life. There are good and bad, and everything in between. I agree with Mafoo's posts.

There are indeed many good mentors out there, I had many, that is how I sought out my education, I went to work for working masters in their field and they paid me to do work and produce product and make money, and we did. The problem is there is not enough, they are far out proportioned by mediocrity and worse.
