We just had to delete an entire thread from PoA because it was filled with what the MC and a number of our members considered to be insulting and discriminatory language about groups of folks.
As a reminder, our Rules of Conduct prohibit....
Aside from destroying the "front porch atmosphere" that we want at PoA, and aside from making other members uncomfortable, this site is heavily indexed in search engines, meaning that posts of this nature attract attention well beyond the edges of this board. That attention reflects unfavorably on PoA, our members (individually and collectively), and the pilot community in general. For every bit of good that our members do on Angel Flight or ARF, posts of that nature do twice as much damage.
We've lost a number of folks that use to be engaged members of our community as a result of the changes in atmosphere on the board. I believe I can speak for the MC in general, we'd like to see PoA as a welcoming place rather than a place where people and groups are insulted.
