Over the years, I have installed itunes on several computers. I have had a few computer crashes, and would buy a new computer and then authorize that new one for Itunes and iphone backup. I am now on yet another new computer and when authorized it, it said I have used 5 of 5 allowed.

Is it possible to "deauthorize" an old computer you don't have any more? I can only find out how to deauthorize the one I am on.

There at least used to be a second option for "deauthorize" all in the same iTunes menu

It wasn't under "authorizations", but I did find that option under "view account". So I chose it to deauthorize all.
Now, it shows 0 authorized, and even when I re-add "this computer", it doesn't do it and still shows zero.

I hate Apple.

Ok, after doing the same thing about a half dozen times, it finally worked.

Isn't that the definition of insanity?
