Great CRM. Reminds me of the F16 that also did a dead stick into Glenview NAS back in the 90s.

Sounded more to me like it was someone else in his group flying overhead. Great example of resource management.

It was his wingman who was handling the comms to ATC that you heard. That is standard CRM for a flight of two, it allows the guy with the problem to concentrate on flying the airplane and fixing the problem.
