David Clark Headset

I recently purchased what was advertised, and appears to be, a new David Clark H10-13X headset. As advertised, it came with no instructions. This is my first noise cancelling headset. Is there anything out of the ordinary I should be aware of? It looks to use a 9 volt battery, or 6 AAA batteries. Does one work better than the other? I've downloaded some generic instructions from the David Clark web site. Is that all I need, or do I need to read the instructions specific to that headset? Would someone have a set of instructions they could e-mail to me? Thanks

Put batteries in it, plug it in, turn it on...good to go.
