RIP David Bowie. So much great music. Sobering reminder that an era really has come to an end. :(

Just read about Bowie passing from an 18 month battle with cancer. He was 69. Article didn't mention what type. Said he had a heart attack in 2004. The man was an innovator in the rock world, a great singer, and not afraid to tackle or try something different. His tribute in the concert for NY after 9-11 was special, especially the songs Heroes and America. God speed Mr bowie, we'll miss ya!

Mods, there's another thread about Bowie's passing. Can these two be combined?

Also there is a third thread which is not about David Bowie and should not be merged. It seems like it might be about him because his name is in the title.

He really was the soundtrack of my youth, among others, but still. RIP David Jones.

The stars look very different today.

Nicely said. Thank you.

Much of his work spoke to me during my youth; I celebrated his visions, and learned from and enjoyed his musical range.

He galatically broadened my world view and brought me thousands of hours of musical joy.

"The circuit's dead - there' something wrong. Can you hear me Major Tom"?

Sad day. Like Anthony said, soundtrack of our youth.

:(
