Database Update at Oshkosh?

I just do periodic updates to my GPS-175, flying VFR. I’m about due also planning a trip just after Oshkosh. Is it worth it to stand in line with my database card? Is there any or much savings? With fuel prices up, have to save as able.

Do I need my Garmin log on information? In the past I’ve seen mention of database updates at Oshkosh. Thanks.

As I recall the process is fairly painless and you can save a few bucks. I’ve dropped my stuff off and come back later. Yes, I needed to provide my login info, I believe. I’ll probably do it again this year for my handhelds that don’t have subscriptions

Add: I may be wrong but I seem to recall you could even do it without your device in hand: log in at the counter, tell them what you want to update from the list of your registered devices, and update them when you get home.
