Striking Argentine Pilots Cause Havoc
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) - Pilots at Argentina's flagship air carrier have walked off the job, suspending international and domestic flights by the airline.
The strike by pilots of Aerolineas Argentinas stranded thousands of passengers Thursday at the Ezeiza International Airport in the capital. Some passengers slept on floors and others hastily tried to find new flight connections on other carriers.
Strike leaders say they are emanding better work conditions for pilots.
The strike also has stranded passengers at a major Argentine domestic hub.
