I've been a lurker on this forum for a long time and have learned much from this bunch. I bought a Grumman Traveler this summer and am doing some early flight planning for a flight from western Wisconsin to the San Antonio area in early February. I am working out leg lengths and find that the DFW Class Bravo sits smack in my way. For you folks familiar with ATC there, can I expect to get cleared through that airspace if I'm coming from the north, from somewhere around Tulsa, while on an IFR flight plan, or should I expect to be routed around the airspace? Thanks much for your help!

Depending on the flow you'll be fine. Dallas Bravo is really quite easy.

You'll be working more or less South. They "may" kick you East or West, but the deviation shouldn't be huge.

From the Tulsa area you’ll most likely get a route or vectors keeping you on the eastern edge of the DFW bravo. Like Ravioli said though, it won’t add significant time to your trip.

Ironically, the few times I’ve gotten a nearly direct route through was when I was VFR.
