Cute litte edit window - what's this?

I've not seen this style edit window before ... is there a readme or user guide for the features here? The MS Word style things are familiar, but what's the diff between Guided Mode and Enhanced Mode? What does # Wrap

 tags... do?  (besides the obvious... what Codes does this refer to?  
Do I have to use the [B]<>[/B] Wrap HTML ... function to use straight HTML codes?  Funny looking results happen then...  
Point me in the right direction and I promise to RTFM...

Keep in mind that I also want to make it easy on helpers who may be on the boat side or the winch side, depending. Ideally make things quick and easy for getting in/out fast.
