Custom Fit Sun Shields for C 182 P

Looking for a good source for a sun shield for a 182 that will just fit into the forward windscreen. I would also like to add the other windows at a later date.

Anyone have any sources that they are happy with?

This is only for the rare times the airplane sits on a ramp away from home.

Not what I am looking for. I need the kind that are placed in the windows to block the sun and heat. I cannot find the website I visited before that you could order type specific shields.

Bruce's Custom Covers has custom heat shields for the 182. Have not used the shields but love their covers!

I've got those for my 425 and they work great. Really makes a difference in the summer, I usually get everything else ready and pull them out as the last thing before engine start.

Made in Arizona where they know what hot ****ing sun really means.

There are other insulating shades available but SunFoil uses optional suction cups as well as the usual friction fit. They stay put nicely. You can get them with gold or silver mylar.

I have purchased two sets of these for two different aircraft (a C172G and my current TR182).

When I bought my aircraft it had a set of sun shades but the one for the rear window would always fall out because that window is nearly horizontal and because the friction fit "loosened" over time. So I replaced those with the SunFoils.
