I have a 1968 Citabria 7ECA, does anyone know the thread size of the wing drain Curtis valve? I need to order a new one due to a small leak and am away from the plane right now.

Thanks,

Monte

Your on a very old post, but your fuel drain has an Oring of rubber on it, On that aircraft unless the drains have been changed. they are a flat O-ring, you should have a number on that valve, usually on the wrenching flats. Univair carry’s them a lot cheaper than a new valve, they might be sold in groups of 5 to a pack. If that’s the case I get some fuel lube, a plastic zip line bag and store the rest,

I just changed a Curtis CCA 1550
7/16 is the nut size.
Torqued it with a wrench with a 7/16 crows foot at 90 degrees. Curtis called for 45 inch pounds.
