How long it it taking for the sale of a plane to show up in the registry?
Just curious. Thanks

I think the last one I did took about six months.

According to the FAA website the registration branch is working on applications received in mid January right now. I have three that were received in mid to late January and still haven’t been completed so we’ll see how accurate that claim is.

BTW, a good sign that the application was received is when the check is cashed. They do that immediately.

As a point of reference bought and submitted on December 18th 2021, received May 2nd 2022.

Sweet!:(
I just sold a plane to a chap who is keeping it in California. I suppose they'll come to me trying to get some tax when the N number is spotted in Calif.
6 Months to make a few entries Bah Humbug.
