CSR & photodynamic therapy for eye

I'm a young male (20's) who isn't yet a pilot but I hope to get my PPL in the next few years. I'm curious about how this eye condition will complicate the medical process and if it will disqualify me from any level of medical -- although I don't expect to ever need a class 1/2 medical it'd be nice to know if I can't now instead of later.

History: I was diagnosed with CSR (central serous retinopathy) in one eye in the fall of '11. After moving up through the specialists I was treated with a small dose of finasteride; my doctor admitted it was experimental but regardless it seemed to work after a few weeks the leakage went down. He took me off the drug and since then I've been following up every 6 weeks. It came back slightly this fall ('12) and then went away 6 weeks later. This time for my checkup the leak was back again. My doctor has recommended that we go forward with photodynamic therapy using a cold laser to shut off the leak.

A [thread=39563]previous thread[/thread] on CSR indicates that I'll need current angiograms and field tests for the medicals (my vision even with the spot is 20/20 in affected eye and 20/15 in unaffected eye, both uncorrected). Will the laser treatment cause any other complications with the medical? Any reasons to consider not going through with laser treatment?

You're going to need is a letter from the doc sayign that you had CSR in 2011, and that it is completely resolved. He should declare that your visual fields are NORMAL, and to make it ironclad, a current set of Humphrey visual fields would do the job.

This of course means you have to go see the guy.
