News article in today's Little Rock paper. 74 Cherokee on take off. No fatalities, no details. Plane "lost lift".

Maybe the pilot left the 'lift' in the hangar...
But I know how he feels. I hate it when I lose something - especially lift...

denny-o

How much you wanna bet that he had flaps at 0 - i.e. not soft field technique?

...and the field was muddy besides?

Not betting on that.... Real nice plane for being a 1974

It looks like the pilot handled it quite well. No injuries and the plane looks to be quite whole.

Thoughts -- mush stall?

I drove to Gaston's for lunch that day and noted how wet the runway was. Standing puddles, etc. It was also windy all day, with gusts to 18 even before sunrise.
