Crap! I've got a few hours in this plane.

Seen this thing in the pattern a million times at KLOU.
High school student that just received his PPL grabs three buddies to go for a night flight.

Four high school students could have actually fit in the aircraft and allowed for some gas. I've filled the seats of my Cherokee with high school aged Young Eagles with no issue at all.

I wrestled as a HS Senior at 152lbs. I was much below that - I was one of the few that were able to weigh in with warm-up gear and fully dressed. I was probably around 147-8 (maybe less).

I doubt I'll ever see that weight again, and don't want to.

Let's reserve "stupid newbie pilot" until we have more facts.

N118JD:
8:53 - Taking off runway 33, staying in the pattern - only radio call made.
10:51 - Three clicks (changing lighting)
14:30 - Single click
14:50 - Multiple clicks
15:18 ~ 18:50 - Stuck mike with static (impact)
23:38 - Louisville Radio asking if the aircraft is still in the pattern
24:03 - Same as above

Seneca park is off the departure end of 33, unless he changed to 15 I'm not sure why he would have flaps in unless he forgot to suck them up after a T&G.
